ROCK AND ROLL SUICIDE - 2010

MPIX0031.jpg

CONCEPT:

Create a Rock Opera using only the lyrics of Bowie Songs as Dialogue.  Make it a full scale Musical with a Company of players to demonstrate locations and passage of time. Make the story a generic story of the rise and fall of 70's stardom and not anything particular to Bowie himself.

Rock and Roll Suicide was the first production where we really pulled our team together.  Kay Turner (amazing Art Director), Anna Stuart (brilliant choreographer), and Marty Grounds - who was not only my co-producer, but my Set Designer, Technical Advisor and Performer; David Oakley on the video production... everybody in the cast played a part.  It was the birth of Whirlwind.
