Wakatipu locals Lyall McGregor and Melita Gizilis are jazz, blues, Latin, salsa, classic and contemporary standards in an easy-listening style.
With Lyall on guitar/vocals and Melita on vocals they present two distinct styles as well as a unique blend, allowing them to offer a large and varied repertoire.
They are joined by Jarrod Anderson on saxophone, and Dale Gold on bass.

This intimate Blue Door gig also features a world-first: Jazzicology will perform the ‘lost’ original lyrics for Round Midnight (never performed before)

That Wanaka Trio is a piano trio led by Louis Koopman, with Dominic Stayne on bass and Michael Harray on drums. It features a diverse range of musical influences and styles from the wonderful jazz standards of 50s New York to the of the 90s to the amazing composers that present day NZ has to offer, and all that lies between. This is certainly an ensemble to keep an eye on and indeed an ear on.
