Jazzicology is the Queenstown-based jazz collaboration between Mark Rendall Wilson, well-known local jazz pianist, and UK jazz vocalist Nance Wilson, now resident in Queenstown. Jazzicology’s wide repertoire includes American and British jazz ‘standards’ – all with our own unique interpretations - and contemporary songs for jazz-literate audiences.
These guys are knocking it out of the park - with a stellar line-up of Keys (Marijn Wouters), Drums (Chaz McLoed), Sax (Alex Yevstifeev/Nigel Hirst) Bass & Guitars (Michael Eden, Alex Pyle & Cliff Leatherbarrow). Their fusion mix of funk and be-bop rock it. Don't miss this.
Sonic tonic play a mix of old and new jazz, some classics and some contemporary all jazzed up. Sonic Tonic are Charlotte Graf - vocals, Cliff Leatherbarrow - guitar, Matt Wilson - drums, and Martin Rylev - double bass.
