Welcome to Whirlwind Productions NZ.

The home of Rock-n-Roll Theatre in NZ.

We have been writing and producing our own productions in a small town in the South Island of New Zealand for the past 20 years and we don't intend to stop.

What are we up to now?

Cheesecake, figs, and pinot noir.

Fee Stephenson

"Hello Dolly"

Dolly Parton is loved for many reasons—the songwriting, the singing, the industry smarts, the cheeky cracks, the homey manner, the beauty, the verve, the hits. She is also loved for her cross cultural appeal; from rednecks to drag queens!

Fee Stephenson and friends will sing a cross section of Dollys amazing back catalogue, along with telling stories and having a laugh through the powerful medium of Dolly!

Charlotte Graf

The Reincarnation of Janis Joplin

Charlotte Graf will take you on a nostalgic journey of her major stage appearances from her early days winning Queenstown's Starry Eyed, to a major player/singer/performer in the Whirlwindnz productions to her mesmerising Led Zeppelin renditions. Charlotte is at once funny, captivating and a treat to experience. a paragraph.

Robert Glen

The Healing Power of the Blues

Taking you back to when you bought the whole album, listened to every song, knew every word. Music has a way of making you reminisce. This show is for the 90s teenager in you.

As the title suggests this is a story of the blues. A story about love, loss, death, travel and healing. He will be taking us back to his teenage years where his initial discovery of the blues became an obsessive revelation. The genre and his guitar have brought him to where he is today. Expect plenty of guitar solos, guitar geekery, passionate blues chat and a story of how blues music has helped him in his journey of healing.

McLean, Elis, Banham and Teegs.

Come As You Are -
A Night of Acoustic Nirvana

Taking you back to when you bought the whole album, listened to every song, knew every word. Music has a way of making you reminisce. This show is for the 90s teenager in you.

Come As You Are takes a look at the great purveyor of punk for the masses - Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. We’ll be playing songs about atheism, capitalism… and Courtney Love’s lady bits - and we’ll be doing it in an intimate, acoustic setting to let the songwriting shine through.

"Come As You Are is a product of Queenstown’s musical underground. We got together and made a band – and it sounds pretty damn good too."

Rebeca Barnes

The Reminiscings of a Nineties Teenager

Taking you back to when you bought the whole album, listened to every song, knew every word. Music has a way of making you reminisce. This show is for the 90s teenager in you.
